Our National Director, Don's credibility with healthcare executives and boards has its foundation in his experience in managing virtually every aspect of healthcare institutions - strategic planning and management, physician hospital relations and integration, system and network development, governance issues and board reorganization.

His unique perspective on the healthcare industry, his facilitation skills and his ability to sort through complex issues are invaluable to the organizations he consults and often result in long-term advisory relationships.

Our national healthcare practice leader and a frequent leader of governance assignments, Don served as President of VHA, Inc. (Voluntary Hospitals of America). He also served as the first President and CEO of Charleston Area Regional Medical Center, and as Director of Hospitals of the University of Colorado Medical Center.

Don holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oklahoma's Central State University, and a master's degree from Northwestern University. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Distinguished Alumnus of Central State, a recipient of the B'Nai Brith International Health Care Award, and holder of an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Charleston.
